An update from Bridget Fewtrell, President & CEO

With the start of spring comes new beginnings for ErinoakKids and a period of excitement and jubilation as our new purpose-built facilities take shape. It is a project that has been a decade in the making and one that marks a historical moment for our organization. For the first time in more than 40 years, we are constructing new buildings to better meet the needs of our 16,000 plus clients and families.
Staff are excited, kids are excited and our families are excited! While we had hoped to move into our new spaces in May, unforeseen construction delays means our new move date has shifted to late fall 2017/early 2018. Nonetheless, our teams have been working tirelessly to ensure we are ready to serve clients and families once we are in these brand new buildings!
The buildings themselves will provide more than 250,000 square feet of treatment space to serve our clients and families with everything from new Longo’s Family Resource Centres, to outdoor courtyards and therapeutic play areas, adapted fitness facilities, a trainspotting nook at our Mississauga site, and a warm-water therapy pool at our Brampton location.
Of course these wonderful new facilities and the comprehensive programming we are able to provide would not be possible without the tremendous support of the Government of Ontario, Ministry of Children and Youth Services alongside the philanthropic generosity of our donors. Through ErinoakKids In My Dreams fundraising campaign, aimed at raising $20 million for critical programming and therapy equipment, we are proud to announce we have raised more than $12 million to date.
We are delighted we have nearly reached our goal but there is more work to be done! As construction nears completion on the buildings over the next few months, stay connected at to learn more about our progress and how you can help us make dreams come true for children and youth with disabilities.

Construction surpasses 60 percent milestone!

Construction is progressing well at each of ErinoakKids' three new sites. With construction nearing completion on the external facade of the building, work is concentrated on completing painting and construction of interior spaces. The buildings are expected to open in late 2017/early 2018. Learn more >>

ErinoakKids helps Cameron get back to her passion

In early 2015, Cameron Brenan was living life like any normal 10 year-old -- excelling in school, spending time with family, and enjoying hobbies like synchronized swimming. It was not until she was getting ready for her first swimming competition that Cameron noticed something was wrong. She suddenly started feeling weak and could not stand on her own. Her health quickly deteriorated and after several tests, she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare condition that would require months of intense therapy and the help of ErinoakKids experts.
