If you’ve ever felt like money terms go completely over your head, check out my new podcast discovery: Moneysplained. It’s hosted by Ally-Jane, who’s a millennial trying to figure out her money, so she asks experts the same questions that you’re probably wondering about, too. Like, what do I do once I get my first job? So if you’re tired of financial information that explain things in overcomplicated terms, then this is worth a listen.

HOW TO PICK YOUR LIFE PARTNER
I’m a big fan of the website “Wait But Why.” Tim writes these super long-form articles (like me, but times 100) on topics that really make you think. I love this one about how to pick a life partner, because as he points out, we don’t think nearly enough about how to choose our life partners. Instead, we think it's more romantic to leave it up to chance. In what kind of warped world should we leave any forever-decision up to chance? As he says, “people tend to be bad at knowing what they want from a relationship...”

LIKE A SOAP OPERA, BUT FOR LITERARY FOLKS
I found out Elena Ferrante is writing again! She wrote the series “My Brilliant Friend,” which I devoured a few summers ago. Her books are like soap operas, except written perfectly, and when the last book ended I got pretty sad it was over. Do you ever have that feeling where you don’t want a book to end? Anyway, if you’re looking to get lost in a world of love and friendship post-war Italy, then check this out.

Acne Canada scarves never go on sale. Like, ever. Until I found this for 30% off. Trigger pulled. But you know, I put it on my Pinterest wishlist first. Gotta abide by the shopping system to avoid impulse purchases!

Reed Krakow isn’t a household name, but he makes a great shoe. I had a pair of lizard oxfords a while back that were impeccably made. I just found these knee high boots in size 37 for $50, which are a total steal. If you’re in the market for a classic boot, and these are your size, they would be a good buy.
