There is a new Little Free Library in Town!
Didsbury Opera House comes alive once again!

This beautiful Little Free Library was built by the amazing Kevin Bently and was modelled after the Didsbury Opera House! Originally located at
present day Checker Auto it was the only dancehall/theatre venue between Calgary and Edmonton.  It was also the first firehall in Didsbury as the horse drawn water carriage was stored overnight in the lobby during the winter (to prevent the water from freezing).  In the 1920’s it became a service station with gas pumps out front.
The building was still around until 1988.

Stop by 1426 18th Ave to see it for yourself!
 Inventory
A HUGE thank you to the 16 amazing volunteers that helped us inventory our entire collection, dusted all our bookshelves, tidied up the outside of our building and assembled two new desks/cubicles! A special thank you to Jean Elliott for making a delicious lunch for all of us and to think she prepared it in our little storage room!

Thank you to the Town Of Didsbury for allowing us to repurpose their old desks/cubicles!
Stop by The Didsbury Library June 25th - July 1st
