The Generator: How to Build A Tech Product

The Generator is Monash's startup arm focusing on all things entrepreneurship at Monash. Even if you're not looking to build a startup all on your own - if you're leaning any sort of app development, this workshop will give you the lowdown on making your app into a product. It might also give you the edge in your next hackathon pitch!

The most common way early stage founders pitch their startup ideas to us is, "I want to build an app that...".
With TechCrunch championing tech startup success stories on a daily basis, we get why people think startup tech = startup success.
But the truth of the matter is - there are a lot of people building tech products, but very few people are doing it well.

Because building a killer tech startup isn't easy, we're bringing in the big guns to give you the low down on what to do, and what not to do.
For the second year in a row, we'll be bringing in Rowan Matz, head of product at Drawboard (Microsoft's most downloaded app globally) to run a workshop on "how to build a tech product".
During this workshop you'll get the inside word on what they did well, what they messed up and what they learnt.

Date: Wednesday, 4th September
Time: 12:30-2:00pm
Location: Room AG01 (The Generator), 7 Innovation Walk
