MAC x Hack | Build in ReactJS

This is the JS library used to build the life-saving UniBoard, and one of UniBoard's creators, Deep Bhattacharyya, will be hosting! Come along, and the folks at MAC will show you how to jazz up your front-end!

We know learning a language or framework not taught at Uni can be difficult. So we made a series that aims to deepen your understanding of different technologies! Join us for our first technical workshop in our MAC x Hack series.
In our first workshop, learn about the front-end JavaScript library everyone is talking about:  ReactJS. The first hour will be a demonstration and the basics. Then in the second hour, you can try it yourself, with mentors available to answer any questions!

MAC x Hack | Build in React Native

In a similar vein, look forward next week to the scoop on React Native, the mobile app-focused framework for React front-end used by the Facebook and Instagram mobile apps!

This workshop will be run by the one and only Phillip Sgardelis and he'll be teaching the fundamentals of React Native to help you get started on your mobile app development journey! 🚀
This is a hands on workshop so don't forget your laptops and get ready to see your code run on a mobile phone!

Become a Volunteer Android App Developer at BorrowCup!

You may have seen BorrowCup's work around the campus cafes. They're a multi-disciplinary team of volunteers working for a great social cause (which makes it prime material for a resume)!

They are looking for an Android developer to create an app that tracks their network of cups. If you have experience in fully developing an Android application, be sure to give this a look! (More detailed requirements in the link.)

Perhaps you have a more technical flare and a passion for the back-end tech, you could work within our ITS department to support our complex IT ecosystem, or you could develop your skills in penetration testing within our Cyber Security team.
