Explore the following opportunities for scholarships that support student exchanges from various countries. For both scholarships, Canadian post-secondary institutions can submit applications on behalf of eligible individuals from eligible countries.

1. For Latin American and Caribbean citizens: Student Exchange Program, 2019-2020
Global Affairs Canada has launched its 2019-2020 Student Exchange Program for Latin American and Caribbean citizens wishing to study, to conduct research or to undertake professional development in Canada.

The 650 short-term exchange scholarships being offered will promote partnerships, student mobility and research collaborations between Canadian and Latin American and Caribbean post-secondary institutions.

Canadian post-secondary academic institutions can now submit scholarship applications on behalf of students, faculty and international liaison officers/managers from eligible countries. Only applications submitted directly by Canadian post-secondary institutions will be considered.

2. For Southeast Asian students: Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED), 2019-2020
Global Affairs Canada is offering short-term scholarships to students from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) wishing to study or conduct research in Canada.
 
The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED), announced by the Government of Canada in August 2017, will provide approximately 200 scholarships in 2019-2020 for study or research in fields that are aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
 
Canadian post-secondary academic institutions can now submit scholarship applications on behalf of students from eligible countries. Only applications submitted directly by Canadian post-secondary academic institutions will be considered.
