Presenting "The Father" through October 13th
For 90 minutes, this play holds up a mirror to the process of growing old, a universal experience that is different for everyone. Playwright Florian Zeller uses dramatic structure to mimic the state of a mind deteriorating through dementia. Each scene is an elliptical extended snapshot that seems to evoke a memory, but quickly the absurdist contradictions crowd in.
Monadnock Music takes you on a local Wine Tour October 20th
Take a journey through the hills and hollows of the northwest Monadnock region with Monadnock music. You'll enjoy a full afternoon of wine tastings, impressive vocal performances featuring songs about wine, and beautiful foliage, of course!
To celebrate that October is Disability Awareness Month, the Mondnock chapter of ABLE NH is hosting a Disability Film Festival on the first three Monday evenings in October. Films will be shown at the Peterborough Committee Theatre in downtown Peterborough followed by discussions with surprise guests. Film is a powerful medium to showcase oppression, resilience, and resurrection. The Monadnock chapter of ABLE NH warmly invites you to watch, learn and share about the experiences of life with a disability.
Audiences will be taken down memory lane with nostalgic songs woven together with some of Lightfoot's own behind the scenes stories and personal anecdotes about his historic 50-year musical career. The event is sure to be a great thrill for live audiences and anyone who enjoys hearing great music and seeing a living legend in person.
