VFW April News

April is upon us and will be a busy month:
Tonight is also post and auxiliary elections. Best wishes to the incoming officers for the ensuing year.  Installation of officers will be in May. As of now, the post and auxiliary look very good heading into Convention in June. Happy Easter and remember our veterans.

Perry Taylor, Commander & Teresa Coe, President
The Chapter One VFW Riders have a busy month ahead of them. On the 6th is the Pancake Breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Post. Tickets are available from any of the Riders, or are available at the door on the day of the event. Tickets are $10 for ages 10 and up, $5 for ages 9 and below. Come out and help us raise funds to help our fellow Veterans. On the 20th we'll be riding to Port Townsend to participate the "Ringing of the Bell". This ceremony commemorates each of Jefferson County's Veterans that had passed from this life over the past 6 months. This is done every April and October on the steps of the County building at precisely 1 o'clock. Then, on the 27th we'll see you all as we ride in the Holland Happening Parade in Oak Harbor. Respectfully, Dean "Whistler" McKinney, Rider's President
