Solo & Ensemble Prep
February 2nd=Free
Our Solo Ensemble Prep offering is a FREE workshop held on Saturday, February 2nd from 10:30am to 1:30pm at Brickhouse Music in River Falls.
The clinic will include a ten minute session with vocal and instrumental judges.  Students will perform their selected piece and then receive constructive criticism/coaching afterwards from 1 or more judges.  Each judge however will fill out a separate Solo Ensemble sheet, which the student can take home with them.  The hope is that this will be a positive experience for students while also letting them know what needs to be done before the real competition.
Our judges will be comprised of Brickhouse teachers, and one of the owners Jen Burleigh-Bentz, who is an active performer in the professional arena.  We will also have college professor Joy Amel from the University of Wisconsin River Falls joining us as a vocal judge.  Joy is very accomplished in diction as well as vocal pedagogy.
This offering is free to students that are involved in the local Solo & Ensemble event as well as students that just need some performance feedback.
