What is Cellulite?
Cellulite cannot be hidden even with the most flattering swimsuit but now Qwo (collagenase clostridium histolyticum-aaes) is finally here after about 8 years of research studies by Endo Pharmaceuticals.

It is the dimpling of skin that frequently develops in the buttocks and thighs of approximately 90% of adult women of all races and ethnicities. Cellulite becomes more visible as you age and your skin becomes thinner and loses its elasticity. Studies have shown that many people think they are responsible for their cellulite but this is a natural condition, or rather an anatomical effect that now can be easily improved with QWO.
How QWO works?

The primary contributing factor or Cellulitis is Fibrous septea. It tethers the skin drawing it downward and causing dimpling in the skin. When QWO is injected it releases fibrous septae enzymatically by specifically targeting Types 1 and 3 collagen, which may result in smoothing of the skin and an improved appearance of cellulite.

How long does QWO last?
QWO is a series of 3 treatments 21 days apart, spaced at 21 days with very little variance. Results can last for more than one year.

Best candidates for QWO:
QWO is a series of 3 treatments 21 days apart, spaced at 21 days with very little variance. Results can last for more than one year.

Adult women who have moderate to severe cases of cellulite in the buttocks are the ideal candidates for QWO. However you can call Dr Ron Shelton’s office at (212) 593-1818 and schedule your consultation. QWO is currently not available for men or other parts of the body.

Talking about other available treatment for cellulite such as Cellfina, ThermiTight, liposuction, subcision and massage/energy based devices Dr Shelton says Qwo is more effective as it is injected to the vertical collagen band that holds the skin down creating the dimple. It is the cutting-edge technology today but without any cuts.
