Look Good this Summer with Tight Skin!
As everyone dares to bare themselves during summer, nothing is more discouraging than a loose and sagging skin. Sagging skin is part of the aging process; your once-tight skin may be sadly slack now. It is often the result of the skin’s inability to produce collagen and elastin as it once did.
Sun exposure is a big factor in this inelasticity. Please use your sunscreen and take vitamin D3 to supplement the lack of your skin’s production of this vitamin when you use the sunscreen. There is no easy way to fix loose skin without the help of cosmetic treatments. That’s why minimally-invasive skin tightening procedures like ThermiSmooth skin tightening, Botox line reduction and fillers are so popular today, and the downtime is usually ZERO with ThermiSmooth.

Botox continues to be the most commonly scheduled cosmetic treatment. Other Botulinum toxins such as Xeomin, Dysport and now Juveau all create similar results. They relax the underlying muscles softening the overlying skin creases that form from repetitive muscle frowning or squinting. Dr. Shelton has been treating patients with Botox for cosmetic purposes since 1992 and his book, “Botox, Everything You Need to Know About the Amazing New Anti-Wrinkle Treatment,” was published in 2002 by Penguin Putnam.
Facial fillers are only second after Botox as the top cosmetic trend in the last several years.  The latest FDA-approved Juvederm Vollure from Allergan specifically treats smile lines, marionette lines and moderate to severe wrinkles.  The Juvederm family of products, including the deep Voluma which restores natural-looking facial volume, Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultraplus, and Volbella, all contain  hyaluronic acid to lift the skin of your face.  The results may be noticeable immediately after the procedure and can last from six months to more than a year.
Dr. Shelton teaches dermatology residents at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, his techniques of injecting Botox and fillers on a monthly basis since 1993.

Dr Shelton says, ThermiSmooth skin rejuvenation can be done even in the midst of sunny summer days without downtime. His patients have reported that the procedure felt like receiving a warm massage. The radiofrequency energy stimulates collagen which causes the skin to tighten naturally and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and sagging.

Duration of the procedure

Thermismooth is a simple radiofrequency treatment which is mostly used on the face, neck and chest. can take from 30 minutes to an hour or more depending on your treatment area. It involves a series of biweekly or weekly comfortable treatments which are usually soothing, like a hot stone massage. The pinkness of the skin disappears in a half hour or so for most patients.

Results take time to be obtained after you finish the series. It is not an immediate result as it takes time to develop new collagen. Performed along with your at-home use of a topical stimulator of your skin’s elastic component, Alastin, you are able to maintain the improvement, and return for maintenance at a year or more.
