The Commerical Culture
A few weeks ago, NASA announced it was going to review the workplace culture at the two companies who have Commerical Crew Contracts, the announcement of the review came just a few days after an executive for one of the companies was caught doing something on a television interview that raised questions about the culture at that company.
As we prepare for the launch of Manned Commerical Missions, we must think about the image we are presenting to the public. Young people will be looking up to the engineers of today as role models  and what they see is what they want to model their behavior after, I myself are the same way, when I was growing up I looked up to the astronauts as someone I wanted to be, the way they conducted their selves in public is the way I conducted myself, and still do so today. The whole world will be watching next year as man travels on commercial spacecraft for the first time. It’s up to each and everyone of us to present the right image to our future engineers who will one day be sitting in the same seat you are occupying now, for that is the generation that is watching all of us now.
