The series of resin artworks for this exhibition in Angles of Art, Tilehurst, is very much inspired by the beauty of the universe: when looking at these beautiful pieces of art you can see some similarities to the beauty of space. Solar crystals have been added to the artworks which can recharge in sunlight to give a starlit effect at night. Jane has therefore named the collection “Infinity in Resin”.
After being inspired by the fantastic support and care she received from the doctors and nurses during a period of illness, Jane now works very closely with the hospitals and often supports their charities with exhibition. She feels it is a fantastic opportunity to use her art to be able to offer something back.
Jane is currently in the process of painting murals at the Royal Berkshire Hospital. The art is of garden scenes and is therapeutic and helps the patients and their families to feel more relaxed.
Jane Originally started out as an Acrylic Landscape Artist but as a colourist she found the colours to not be quite bright enough so was looking for a new medium when she discovered the beauty of Resin. Jane has been working in Resin ever since as she simply loves the vibrant colours and stunning finish. Jane’s Resin work is on mirror bases which she feels adds something to the finished pieces which often includes lots of sparkles and metallic effects.
A selection of her beautiful art pieces will be displayed at Angles of Art, 8 Park Lane, Reading, from November 15th to December 24th.
