Hello Chapter Leaders,
We are looking forward to hosting you on our virtual workshop this coming Saturday, July 23rd at noon Eastern time (12pm EDT).
It should be a fun and informative meeting, so come prepared to connect with your fellow Chapter leaders, with the members of the PSCC, and with other volunteers of ACM SIGGRAPH!
Here is an informal schedule for the workshop:
12:00 – 1:00pm:
- Welcome by AJ
- Round of Introductions
- Announcements from the PSCC
- Fun, introspective exercise
1:00pm – 2:00pm:
- We will welcome various volunteers from the ACM SIGGRAPH Organization and Conference.
- Volunteer coordination initiative (Nurturing Communities Strategy Group)
2:00pm – 3:00pm:
- Open forum: Gather wisdom from other Chapter leaders—ask your questions and have them answered by others in the group.
- FIKA: It’s a Swedish word often interpreted as ‘a coffee and cake break’. For Swedes, however, it is much more than that. It’s about taking a break from everything for a while and enjoying quality time with friends or colleagues over a cup of coffee or tea. So bring your favorite beverage and let us celebrate all of our Chapters’ accomplishments over the past year in an informal, social setting.
Yes, there WILL be breaks—we will keep an eye on the clock to make sure you have enough time to stretch and take a break from the screen.
