Hello Chapter Leaders,
SIGGRAPH 2022 is fast approaching! Here are the Chapter Activities you can prepare and look forward to.
An In-Person Chapters Workshop will potentially take place in Vancouver on Sunday, August 7th that is a complement to the Virtual Chapters Workshop! This totally new half-day workshop format will focus on professional leadership training and inter-chapter networking, but we cannot plan it until we know who is coming in-person!
Please, if you are able to attend, RSVP with this form by June 17th.
The Virtual Chapters Workshop will take place On July 23rd, noon - 3pm EST. We hope that leaders from all chapters in the Americas and Europe can join us. Please save the date!
The Chapters Fast Forward continues its tradition giving chapters an opportunity to share their work with the broader ACM SIGGRAPH community. This year your Fast Forwards will be featured prominently to In-Person Conference Attendees, mostly via a non-stop loop on screens around The Village, but also with a dedicated screening, both On-Site and Online in the Virtual Village and on Social Media. This will be a great way to showcase your events to a potential new audience. Find all the information you need to submit your Fast Forward Reel below:
The Virtual Chapters Party will take place as well this year. Since the Conference will be Hybrid, we are attempting a new approach this year in order to let everyone enjoy the Live conference week. The Virtual Chapters Party will take place August 1st to August 5th, during the second week of the Virtual Conference which is also the week before the Live Conference. Stay tuned in a following email for details, but you can already start planning your ideas! Find inspiration by browsing the past two years of Virtual Chapters Parties!
A note about the In-Person Chapters Party: THANK YOU to everyone who helped to try to make it happen. We had to cancel because communication with the potential club venues was moving too slowly and we could not reach agreements in a reasonable time frame. We absolutely plan on bringing the in-person party back in 2023.
