1. Last call to submit your Chapters Party

The PSCC would like renew the invitation for all Chapters to organize an online event during SIGGRAPH 2021 for the Virtual ACM SIGGRAPH Chapters Party.

Get all the info in the PDF below and make sure to join us on Slack to make this party as awesome as last year!

The final date to confirm the time & date & description of your event so that we can add it on the official SIGGRAPH Conference schedule is Saturday July 31st. 

The first ten chapters to sign up to host virtual rooms are entitled to one complimentary Enhanced Registration and one complimentary Basic Registration for the virtual conference.

2. Volunteer Appreciation Event in Gather Town

Hello volunteers of ACM SIGGRAPH and the SIGGRAPH conferences!The last time many of us were in a room together was the end of 2019.
We have all been missing each other’s company a lot, and looking for ways to connect across the vast distances we cover.

To help us feel closer again, the ACM SIGGRAPH organization would like to invite all of its many volunteers to a virtual volunteer appreciation event in the social event space called gather.town!
Gather.town is a web-conference software like Zoom or Teams, but with the added component of a virtual “room” that can contain games and facilitate casual conversations and meetings. 
Feel free to explore the platform here.

This event for all volunteers of the organization, including student volunteers, subcommittee members, chapter leaders, past volunteers, and contractors is being held Thursday, August 5th from 6PM-10PM Eastern Daylight Time (GMT-4).
Please stop by for all or part of the event to spend time with your ACM SIGGRAPH friends and colleagues and share your excitement for the coming live week of the 2021 North American conference!
