RAID HQ UPDATE
Our new HQ renovations are moving along nicely, yet somehow time seem to be moving faster than we'd like! As you can see from the above photo the premises has essentially been gutted. Luckily no terrible surprises came along during the process. One happy discovery though was the central brick support wall which was, funnily enough, covered with ugly fake brick! So we'll be keeping the exposed brick adding a rustic quality to what will be our kitchen space.

The next step, aside from throwing up drywall (which is already making the space look 100x better), is getting into the fun part of figuring out finishes, fixtures, and details. Over the last few weeks Ramón has spent his mornings sourcing flooring, lighting, and vintage items that we can add to the space to give it character and personality. We thought we'd share some of his finds below. Happy with how our new HQ is shaping up...

OUT THIS WEEK
JUSTICE LEAGUE: NO JUSTICE #1
Written by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, & Joshua Williamson with art by Francis Manapul

Four giant beings comprised of the universe's major energies - Mystery, Wonder, Wisdom, and Entropy - who sustain their life force by devouring planets are on their way to destroy the planet of Colu. The only way to take down this unimaginable threat is for the superhero teams of Earth to forget everything they thought they knew and form new alliances.

In this kickoff issue to the four-issue miniseries, after Brainiac systematically takes down all of Earth's super-teams, the last thing the League expects is for him to ask for their help! Without their aid, his home planet and the universe are both doomed!
What secrets of the cosmos will Superman, Martian Manhunter, and Team Mystery discover? Will Zatanna, Wonder Woman, and Team Wonder awaken alien magic they cannot put back to sleep? What can Harley Quinn possibly have to teach the rest of Team Wisdom? And most importantly... why the heck is Beast Boy on Team Entropy with Lobo and Batman?

One question we won't have answered is why all these teams have such silly names!

ROBOCOP: CITIZEN'S ARREST #2
Our ever gorgeous Nimit Malavia has created this beautiful cover that we've titled "Robocop in Plum."

If you're curious about the story.... The Ruins is a powder keg, with OCP handing out the matches. Sounds LIT!
X-MEN BLUE #27
Written by Cullen Bunn & Ed Brisson with art by Marcus To and Oscar Bazaldua

With the Original Five X-Men lost in space (not to be confused with the Netflix series), a new team of mutants has emerged to face the White Queen, Havok, Miss Sinister, and Bastion! But while the new X-Men are away, the Marauders will play, striking viciously at Magneto.

Magneto is forced to make a terrible decision, leading him ever closer to the darkness he has tried to put behind him.

For those who read X-Men I really hope that descriptive made sense as I think we're just more lost than ever. So, we're just going to ogle the pretty cover... it's no Nimit Malavia, but what're you gonna do.
SPIDER-MAN / DEADPOOL #32
Written by Robbie Thompson with art and cover by Scott Hepburn.

In OLDIES PART 3, Spider-Man finds out how he's outlived all his loved ones! Which can be rather depressing, but hell, who has time to be depressed when you get to find out who's in the Fantastic Four of the Future!

Old man Spider wheels along in this misadventure with a giant Thing by his side, I mean a REALLY GIANT THING. Literally. Not some sort of dirty innuendo. Just a GIANT THING. GAWD. I give up - get your minds out of the gutter.

Oh, and yeah, the present and future storylines COLLIDE! Whatever that means. But really, GIANT THING!
ISOLA #2
Written by Brenden Fletcher and Karl Kerschl, with art by Karl Kerschl and Msassyk

We can't help but sing the praises of ISOLA by our RAID extended family! The art and story are poetry on the page. Treat your senses to the wonder that is ISOLA.

With the hunting clans closing in, Captain Rook leads the Queen to a city in ruins on a desperate mission to resupply. Unbeknownst to them, however, a new danger awaits within the broken walls—someone with a connection to Rook’s past! Recommended for fans of Studio Ghibli, the works of Hayao Miyazaki, and life in general.

DAMN, that was a lot of comics this week, compared to last week's snooze fest!
