Our KLAATU Kickstarter campaign finished last Thursday, March 31st and we couldn’t be more elated with the outcome. You can enjoy our closing ceremony here to watch as we meet the $60K mark at the last moment! KICKSTARTER / ANNNNND WE'RE DONE... our Kickstarter campaign for KLAATU, the fourth book in our RAID Anthology series has officially come to a close.
We reached a grand total of $60,179 with 672 Kickstarter backers, WAY more than we ever expected thanks to YOU, all our wonderful supporters. We hit numerous Stretch Goals over our campaign, and are excited to add the following extras to all our physical backer pledges:
- French Flaps to the cover of the book.
- Custom neon ink to the cover of the book.
- An additional 10 pages added to the book, plus we upgraded the cover stock to 100lb.
- A 3-pack magnet set featuring the colourful and creepy RAIDthing.
- A double-sided 18x24 in. poster featuring Scott Hepburn and Ramón K Pérez's cover art from the book.
- The premiere RAID Collectible Trading Card featuring the RAIDthing.
- The Dead Cosmonaut Enamel Pin with Gold Finish!

TRUE NORTH COUNTRY / Michelle Vucko was featured on the True North Country Comics Podcast, talking about the creative process while creating her story featured in KLAATU, called HARBOUR. Michelle discusses how The Twilight Zone's overarching themes of twists and things not appearing as they seem, inspire this new story.
Dax Gordine was also featured on the True North Country Comics Podcast, talking about the creative process while continuing his fantasy story WIDDAW from RAID 3 in KLAATU with eight additional pages. Dax also discusses attending Fan Expo Vancouver and his upcoming sequel FOREST FOLK: BANDS & SHENANIGANS.
Radio Free Krypton / Hosts Justin and Jacob talked with Ramón K. Pérez about being the managing director of RAID and part of Toronto's comics community. This interview covers making comics in a collaborative space, the upcoming books from RAID Press, and what it's like to have a life-sized Boba Fett statue as a roommate.

Marcus To is launching SHANG-CHI AND THE TEN RINGS with Gene Leun Yang! The series kicks off on July 20th. Marcus states that "Shang-Chi is the greatest hand-to-hand combatant in the Marvel Universe, and we're gonna show it in this story." You can learn more here.
