There's a saying in our industry "when in doubt black it out"... and so that's pretty much what we've done. The ceiling in the new RAID HQ is now an abyss of darkness hiding all things we want unseen. The ceiling is fairly high too begin with in our new Parkdale location, but with the nice dark dark grey / black coat it hides the the edge of where ceiling and wall meet removing the boundaries off the room, evoking the feeling of a larger expanse. Ah. the joy of tricking the eye and brain...
We're tempted to paste some of those glow in the dark star stickers to add some mesmerizing constellations to our ceiling. Then we can just chill back and get lost in deep thought about life and the coming zombie apocalypse...  all while lying on our sexy new floor!

The days have been chaos over the last couple of months as we prep our new HQ, source fixtures & furnishings, begin to pack & purge, but amidst it all we haven't forgotten what we truly love to do - and that is create stories. Progress on our second anthology RAID TWO (subtitle forthcoming) is moving right along. Over a dozen RAID creators are writing, drawing, and building their worlds.

In the coming weeks we'll begin to share some behind the scenes art, as well as what new creators you can expect in the book. Some surprise RAID alumni will be joining us in this years' edition and we couldn't be more excited! Below is the cover concept rough by Ramón Pérez which he'll be putting the spit and polish on over the next month!

Written by Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Joshua Williamson with art by Francis Manapul and Marcus To.

Starfire makes a crushing discovery, Beast Boy uncovers a shocking betrayal, and Cyborg and Wonder Woman are forced to make decisions that will have devastating repercussions for all four teams... and potentially for those they left behind on Earth. Sounds like a lot of people are discovering a lot of things this issue! Good for them - it's always a strong step in life finding out a little more about your self and the bigger picture in general. Sigh, LYFE, am I right?

The RAID dyanmic-duo of Marcus and Francis are back together 'shipping' as they never have before! LOOK OUT TUMBLR FANS!
Written by Andy Diggle. Art by Stephen Segovia. Variant Cover by Tonci Zonjic

After years of purgatorial exile, Jack Boniface - the newly returned Shadowman - is back in the one place he thought he'd left behind for good: the damned dimension known as Deadside! His mission? To recover a lost relic of the Shadowman legacy that could redefine the eternal balance of power between the living and the dead. If he fails, the vengeful voodoo god called Baron Samedi will exact a terrible toll on the souls of humanity! OH MY!  But - back among the monsters, back among the cursed - can Jack stand resolute against evil incarnate without succumbing to the call of the literal demons within himself?

RAID's own Tonci once again lends his considerable talent to the cover of this dark and engaging series.
