Show Your Support Order your “What We Raise Here Stays Here” T-Shirt
We may be socially distant, but we are spiritually connected. To show that connection two local businesses – PKA Marcom and Master Printwear – have donated their time and talents to create a great way to support our mission.
An all new design “What We Raise Here Stays Here” T-shirt was created by PKA Marcom, the same creative team that built our brand from one smiling pig into one of the most recognized non-profits in the area. The shirts will be produced by Master Printwear, who produces all our Mel’s Swag that’s available at events and on our website.
These high-quality Bella Canvas T-shirts are only $20 and are made with the same soft fabric used in our 2019 Pig Roast shirts. They’re available in two colors never offered before. Your purchase of these shirts greatly helps our mission because 100% of the proceeds will be used to impact lives in our community. That’s especially important in these unprecedented times.
You Can't Make This Stuff Up Be safe and God Bless,

Ross Shares His Thoughts
Springtime is here and it is the month of April!
Mel's Charities has never forgotten the many people that that are part of our organization. We are truly pleased with how much this community cares and reaches out to others during this time of quarantine. We are keeping safe at home with our families that love us and going outdoors in this spring kind of weather. With my loneliness being at home, I love making videos for Mel’s Charities Facebook. I hope it gives smiles to people during this time
Thank you so much to all the viewers and the wonderful comments about me on Facebook. In the videos that I made, I just wanted everyone to know more all about Mel's and the lives that we impact. I am amazed how the videos that I took bring a feeling of touching hearts and showing for Great Times for Great Causes.
Ross's Thoughts is to bring people together from all over. It means a lot to me that I impact lives through my passion for taking videos and writing. I loved Mel and Nancy, they are so special to me forever & ever.

Community Impact World Market and Mr. Bob's Under the Bridge
For my husband, Kevin it was just going to be another trip to the Grafton Dog Park in early fall 2011. He enjoyed talking to the other dog owners and watching the dogs play. On that fall day, Kevin spoke with a gentleman who also owned a dog just like ours, an Airedale Terrier. During their conversation, Kevin noticed a poster for Mel’s Pig Roast hanging in the park and told the fellow dog owner that we were going to attend this year. The gentleman asked why he wanted to attend, Kevin proudly answered that our daughter, Elizabeth, current Mel’s Charities Board Member, had just received the Nicki Doedens Scholarship as a senior at Cedarburg High School. Kevin told the gentleman that Mel’s Charities donates to the scholarship and we wanted to support them. Kevin could not remember the gentleman’s name, but did know the dog’s name, Duncan.
Of course, we all now know that the gentleman was indeed, Tom (Mel) Stanton. Kevin and I attended our first pig roast that fall and have been proud to volunteer for this wonderful organization that helps so many in our community. With all the challenges our community faces currently, I knew who I could reach out to for help. With my retail store temporarily closed, World Market asked we donate all our Easter product to those in need. I looked no further than our friends at Mel’s Charities for help. Tom connected me with Mr. Bob’s Under the Bridge Outreach. Bob serves the homeless community in Milwaukee. My team and I were blessed to be able to donate many Easter baskets for the less fortunate and loved helping our new friend, Bob! Thank you to Mel’s Charities for ALL you do in our wonderful community.
Many Thanks to World Market of Brookfield for donating all of their Easter candy and supplies to us. We were able to build over 100 Easter basket that we distributed at last Saturday’s outreach. Special mention to Cynthia Albers and her crew. Our friends were so excited to receive these treats.
Community Spotlight Wayne's Drive In Hamburger Haulers
Mel has taken a volunteer role at Wayne's Drive In. He is now their food delivery guy. All tips and delivery charges are given to Mel's Charities and go right back into the community. Together Mel's Charities, Wayne's Drive In and Ansay and Associates are doing some amazing things.
