From this point forward, I'll be referring to this email list as "Inspired Thoughts".  A special thanks goes out to the person that suggested this.  I'll still keep you updated, but you'll at least get an inspired thought.

So on to the inspired thought...

The other day, I was sitting out on my patio and all of the sudden I noticed that the trees had gone from a dull, winter look with no leaves to the sudden green of little budding leaves.  It surprised me because the day before it seemed there was hardly any green to be found on the tree.  And it happened to be right around the first day of Spring.

One of the things that I've found we miss as humans in life is the little things around us.  You can refer to it as mindfulness, but it is really just stopping to notice everything.  These little gifts and moments in our day can help keep us grounded, provide relief from the stress of the day and just let us know we're not alone on this big planet.

Let's try an exercise.  As you go about your day, take a minute and stop to notice the sun, the birds, the clouds or the trees.  What do you see?  What does it feel like?  How does it make you feel?
