Feb. 3, 2021
Thank you for helping Cougs Cancel COVID in our residence halls. Because many of you are following health guidelines by wearing masks and practicing physical distancing, the number of COVID-19 cases in the residence halls has remained low.
We are now able to advance some of our policies to Stage 2*.
Guest policy, effective Wednesday, Feb. 3:
You can have one guest within your room. Guests must be from within your same residence hall. You must be able to maintain 6 ft of physical distance while in your room and must wear masks. No overnight guests are allowed. Read details regarding our guest policy stages here.
Common space policy, effective Wednesday, Feb. 3:
You can reserve common spaces such as lounges and TV rooms for you and other students from your residence hall. There will be limits on group size based on occupancy. Physical distancing and masks are required and you will need to disinfect the space after use with the cleaning supplies provided. Kitchens remain unavailable until Stage 3. Read details regarding our common area policy stages here.
*Please note that the state of Washington is still in Phase 1 of its Healthy Washington – Roadmap to Recovery plan. Cougs can find out what this means for spaces and behaviors on campus here.
We want you to connect with your fellow hallmates and we insist you continue to follow all health guidelines. If we are unable to maintain the health of our residence halls, we will have to revert to previous stages.
If you have any questions, please contact your RA or RED.
Stay healthy, and Go Cougs!
