You are receiving this email because you previously signed-up to live in a WSU residence hall for the Fall 2020-2021 academic year. Governor Inslee provided guidance for institutions of higher education on June 24, 2020, and in accordance with those guidelines we will open our residence halls with significantly reduced occupancy and strict public health guidelines. Consistent with the First Year Live in Rule (FLIR), we are prioritizing our first-time, first-year students in University-owned housing.

This means we will not have available space for you to live in a residence hall.
We will cancel your housing contract in accordance with WSU Housing Policy (Section: Miscellaneous, page 7), which allows the University to cancel agreements in the event of extraordinary circumstances.

You will receive a full refund of your deposit and any initial payments. We apologize for this change in plans and any disruption this will cause.

We are committed to helping facilitate your transition to off-campus living. The Off Campus Living website has resources and if you want further guidance on how to move off campus, we have a team of Housing Transition Coaches ready to help.  You can make a Zoom or phone appointment by contacting the Office of the Dean of Students with the online appointment request form.  You can also email, or call us at 509-335-5757. We have a very small number of on-campus apartments remaining. You can apply to live in our WSU-owned apartments here.

Please let us know how we can be of assistance and stay healthy.
