We've had a busy few weeks at The Good Business Club securing some contracts to delivery social enterprise support alongside our weekly pop-ups supporting the network to connect with the support they need, when they need it.

Local Entrepreneur Showcased at NatWest: Get an insight into the most exciting and innovative businesses in Brighton at the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator Hub on March 26th. Hear from their top performing entrepreneurs, view a live pitching competition and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Great2Create Smashed Funding Target with Contribution from West Sussex County Council Community Initiative Fund: This funding will allow Great2Create to run their first inter-generational project in Adur which aims to impact loneliness and isolation by bringing together primary school children (9 - 11 years) and Age UK members over a series of creative events and workshops. They now have a stretch target so do support them today.

Local Food Factory Launching to Tackle Food Poverty in Brighton: Iain Chambers, who's played a huge part in building and driving community businesses forward in Brighton, has successfully secure support from Impact Hub's Feeding The City programme to start up a Brighton Food Factory, to produce healthy affordable meals at scale with local suppliers. We can't wait to support Iain on the adventure ahead.

The Good Business Club 1:1 Fully Booked: All the 1:1 sessions for April's Pop Up are already fully booked and the next session isn't till May. If you have a challenge and want some support from The Good Business Club team, join the next Pop Up Problem Solving session on Friday March 29th to not only get the teams support but also connect with other like-minded individuals.

Intimate Listening Workshop to Improve Relationships Between Team Members and the Workplace: Charlie Kew is setting up a new social enterprises and is looking for 5 organisations to pilot their offer in return for feedback. They aim to increase performance, improve team communication and positively impact staff well being. Get in touch by 17th April to access this exclusive opportunity.

Women in Business Event to Inspire Next Generation on Girls: Know a young women who would be inspired by role models of women in business locally? Get them to come down to The Brighthelm Centre on 29th March to hear co-founder off The Good Business Club, Sara Osterholzer, and other inspirational speakers talking about setting up a business & supporting others to do so too at a 'Women in Business' event hosted by Enactus Sussex.

Brains at The Bevy is Back: Back for the fourth series, The Bevy is running another series of short and enlightening talks from local academics at their local pub. Check out the 'Brains at the Bevy' schedule here and pop it in your diary. 

Make Fashion Circular - A Revolution For Good: RubyMoon, The Revival Collective & Slow Re Purpose are hosting the first Fashion Revolution event for 2019 on April 3rd at MyHotel. Speakers will give practical examples of innovation in clothing and the best alternatives to fast fashion followed by a spring clothes swap.

Meaning Game Night to Build a Better World: Meaning Conference and A Fairer Society are hosting a game night inviting attendees to play the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals game together. Join them on April 3rd at Platf9rm in Brighton

5% Interest Rate for Local Green Energy Investors: BHESCo, local community energy social enterprise, are fundraising for a very large scale Solar Power project for a church in Horsham. Investors will receive a 5% interest rate and join a movement a that is coming together to tackle pollution and Climate Change locally.

Create an Inclusive Social Enterprise Place in Brighton and Hove: We are working with Enterprise with Meaning to get cracking on creating a Social Enterprise Manifesto by the end of 2019 to celebrate local impact driven businesses. Read their plan and join their first design workshop on 4th April.
