Friend, the donkey is coming for our Palm Parade this Sunday!   Join us at 9:45 am to be part of the parade.  If you are worshipping remotely, look for the donkey-led Palm Parade to be posted on our YouTube channel following Worship on Sunday.  We are also excited to host Interim Associate Conference Minister, Rev. Nelson Murphy, who is joining us for Worship and for a time of discussion during the Fellowship Time.

Please note:  Worship will be Live-Streamed on our YouTube channel beginning a bit after 10:00 am when we come in from the outdoor Palm Parade.

If you are joining us for Live-Stream Worship on YouTube, please join the chat and let us know you are worshipping with us, if you can.  We love the opportunity to connect in this way and to 'see' who is worshipping with us!

Below the bulletin are several announcements, as well as activity sheets for the kids.  Be sure to page all the way down so you don't miss anything!
GIVE
Thank you for worshipping with us today!  We hope that you sense God's presence here today and experience God's love for you.
We welcome you to join us every Sunday.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Lenten Book Study will meet this morning following the discussion with Rev. Murphy during the Fellowship Time.  We are reading Jill Duffield's book, Lent in Plain Sight.

The Church is collecting Easter flower donations.  Look for the flower table during the Fellowship Time this morning to donate toward the flowers in memory or in honor of someone special.  You can also honor/remember someone by calling David in the Church Office at 973-334-6500 and mailing your donation in.

The Church Council will meet this Tuesday night at 7:30 pm online.

This Wednesday from 4:00 - 5:30 pm Ms. Sue is hosting Grow with God’s Easter Egg Spectacular.  Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to come hear the Easter story told with the use of our Resurrection Eggs, followed by egg coloring, cookie decorating, egg games & perhaps an egg hunt!  Please dress your children in play clothes.  All items used will be washable.  If your child has food allergies, please contact Ms. Sue and she can share with you the ingredients in the cookies.

This Thursday is Maundy Thursday.  Join us at 7:30 pm as we gather around Christ’s table together to remember Jesus’ last supper with his friends.

This Friday is Good Friday.  We will gather for a time of reflection and prayer at noon.  This brief Worship gathering will be followed by our traditional Good Friday (quiche) Brunch, this year featuring some home-made quiches.

Next Sunday is Easter!  Join us for our Easter Sunday Celebration of the Resurrection at 10:00 am which will feature a full brass quartet, as well as several of our own musical ensembles.  It will be a festive celebration of hope and new life.  There will be a special Easter Moment with the Children, as well.  So, join us as we celebrate God’s great gift of life!
We have a special role for our kids during Easter Worship.  Please let Ms. Sue know if your child(ren) will be in Worship on Easter so she can help them be a part.  Easter will be All-Church Worship so there will be Worship Bags available for the children to use during Worship.  We ask that you return the Worship Bags and their contents to the bin following Worship so they can be used on future All-Church Worship Sundays.

In honor of Mother’s Day, the Board of Outreach is collecting baby supplies for the clients of North Porch, an organization which provides emergency aid to mothers and infants in northern New Jersey.  They are especially in need of the following items:  diapers (size 4, 5, or 6) and pull-ups, wipes, diaper cream, 12.5 oz powdered baby formula, baby cereal, jars of baby food, baby wash, and other toiletries.  Please bring your donations to church by Sunday, May 8.  If you are unable to shop, we will accept monetary donations, and we will shop for you.  If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Astor at (973) 727-5492.
The Board of Trustees will meet online on Tuesday, 19 April at 7:00 pm.

On 29 April, we are hosting an All-Church Bingo Night!  We have been isolated for so long!  That’s why we invite you to join us for an evening of Christian fellowship.  There will be a pasta dinner followed by Bingo and other activities for those too young or not interested in Bingo.  We would ask that everyone bring a salty or sweet snack to share.  The snacks can be store-bought!  Look for the sign-up sheet that will be in the Church House following Worship and let us know you will be there!   We are currently in need of folks to help with cooking, set-up, clean-up, Bingo calling, and serving.  Please let Ms. Sue know if you can help.

Our thanks to Larry, Chuck, Jodie, and Megan for all the time they have given to our painting project in the Christian Education wing.  Progress is being made but there is still more to do. Please let Ms. Sue know if you want to join the paint crew.

The United Church of Christ has issued an appeal for the people of Ukraine and will be working with global partners to assist the hundreds of thousands fleeing that country. Help will extend to vulnerable communities within Ukraine.  The appeal joins an earlier
call to prayer issued by the UCC’s executive officers and an invitation from Global Ministries to pray with the worldwide interfaith community  You can donate to the UCC Ukraine Relief Fund by writing a check to CCML and putting “Ukraine Relief” in the memo line or give online at: https://www.ucc.org/global-h-o-p-e/ukraine-emergency-appeal/

We love having different people participate in Worship as Readers and Greeters/Ushers!  It enriches our Worship and helps us all get to know one another!  Scripture readers can be in-person or pre-recorded from home.  If you are interested in serving as a Greeter/Usher or Scripture Reader on an upcoming Sunday morning, you can sign-up online through the link in the eblast or email or call the Church Office to volunteer.  If you would like, instruction in the task you sign up for, it will be provided.  Contact Jackie Bay (
jackiebay4@gmail.com) with any questions.

Give the gift of food - Drop off some shelf stable food this week. There’s a tub on the porch by the glass office doors to receive what you can share.

We depend on your continued support of the church and its ministries. If you haven't already, you might look into setting yourself up with Tithe.ly either on the Tithe.ly app or by entering
https://tithe.ly/give?c=402309 on your computer or phone.  Alternatively, you could set up automatic giving payments through your bank's Bill pay option.
