Buzz and Go Mantle! Creative Days
Christmas Hook and Supply Days

Our popular Buzz and Go Mantle! Creative Days are a great way to consolidate learning at the end of a topic. Year 3 classes from Bevendean Primary School in East Sussex recently experienced a Go Mantle day on The Stone Age in which they worked as archaeologists on a mysterious dig that led them to uncover a huge Stone Age settlement. Amazing, immersive learning!

Throughout December we are offering a special 10% discount on all Creative Days, so do contact us to make a booking.

Programme Round Up
Black History Month 2017
It has been another fantastic and successful Black History Month this year as we celebrated with over 35 schools, delivering more than 50 inspiring workshops and assemblies.

Our enthusiastic Bigfoot facilitators have enabled young people to learn about Black History in an engaging and informative way through story telling and interactive workshops. We’ve had Bigfooters tour across schools to share the stories of what life was like aboard the Empire Windrush during the voyage to Tilbury in 1948 and breathe life into folk tales of old by embracing the influence of Indian, Chinese and African cultures present in the Caribbean countries of Trinidad and Guyana today.

We’ve had so much wonderful feedback from our Bigfoot schools who have engaged with our Black History Month programmes. This is why we love what we do! Click on the link below to read what the schools have said and see our photo gallery. We can't wait for next year!
Creative Residencies
PPA Cover
BigFoot Arts Education
We have been thoroughly enjoying the Creative Residencies that we deliver weekly in schools across the country, such as these fantastic photos from the KS1 Creative Residency group at Stanley Crook Primary School in County Durham who have been exploring the Great Fire of London this term. The children love their Friday sessions so much it has even been renamed as ‘Bigfoot Friday' - how wonderful!

We have slots available to start new Residencies in January, so please do contact us if you would like to discuss how we could work with your school.

And look out for a special PPA programme round up in next month's newsletter!

Teacher INSET sessions
Bigfoot trainer Laura delivered a really successful INSET session for teachers with the David Ross Foundation last month.

The participants feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with one teacher telling us 'Laura was fantastic at the training session. As a non drama specialist I got a lot of great tools and skills from the day. This has left me with more confidence with teaching the subject'.

We are now taking bookings for start of term energising INSET's, so do get in touch to make a booking.
Performing Arts Workshops
BigFoot Arts Education
Bigfooters Sophie and Tam had a great day recently delivering Musical Theatre and Site Specific Performance Spotlight workshops at Emanuel School in Battersea.

The school told us 'The programmes delivered are always pitched at the right level for the pupils being taught. The presenters are experienced working with children and can easily manage group behaviour, enabling the session to run smoothly'

Brilliant - we are really looking forward to our second round of workshops next month!
