Mojatu Foundation

Dear Readers,

Welcome to Mojatu Foundation’s latest and updated newsletter. As you will see we have a lot on the agenda for the month of June, with our new Sexual Health Workshop ‘And Other Stories’ launching in June and our online Gender Based Violence Handbook titled ‘What Happens When’. We are prioritising and empowering women and hope that you join as we do.

Self Love

My temple is an example of the life I live,
I shall not confine it to the cages of disdained belief,
Nor misplaced deceit,
Rather I shall bless it with a pure release,
Self love will be my relief.

My mantle is the bridge,
The bond between the surface and core,
I cannot love the other any less or any more.

Balance is the key to prevent any rupture,
I must stay grounded and love my inner and outer,
While guarding the key to my door.

'And Other Stories'

Sexual health workshop

New Project launch for Mojatu foundation

And Other Stories is a series of professionally-led workshops aimed at women, young and old, to share, identify and discuss sex, myths and other stories. Our aim is to celebrate and appreciate the female body. Understand it and learn from it. We hope to facilitate open and honest conversation about topics ranging from healthy relationships, ageing, consent, sexual health testing, contraceptives, pleasure and sexuality.

This Summer
Feedback From Attendees

"As a teacher and mum of two with autism time to myself is rare. The Saturday yoga sessions have been amazing, giving me both time to myself and increasing my level of fitness and flexibility. I look forward to them every week, they fit with my family's routine and I've met some lovely ladies.
These sessions are central to the increase in both my physical and mental health over the last year."

Driving theory

"During this course I learnt a lot about driving which really helped me when I took my theory test. The teacher really explained in a way that everybody (the students) understood by treating all the topics in the course with a lot of examples. With the help of this Driving Theory class I was able to understand every bit of the questions given to me when I had my theory test. I can recommend this course to anyone, it was really helpful to me."
