Don't be shy - take a peek at our news!
Happy 2019 a little bit late!  We're slow but sincere in wishing all our fiber friends health and happiness in the year that lies ahead.

We want to keep everyone up to date on new happenings here.  First up - we're proud to announce we are providers of Cotswold wool for The Livestock Conservancy's "Shave 'Em to Save 'Em" initiative!   Have you heard the phrase 'use it or lose it'?  The Livestock Conservancy has long said that the way to save endangered breeds of livestock is to give them a job. In the case of wool sheep, we need to start using their wool again! The Livestock Conservancy is bringing together fiber artists and heritage sheep breeders in a fun program that will help artists explore the unique fibers rare breeds produce. You don't even have to be a spinner to participate - already spun yarn from a listed breed can be used or use fiber in a felted project.  Be sure to check it out!

Second, we now carry Ultra Punch punch needles to complement the punch needle frames Andy builds.  We also have foundation cloth - Monk's cloth for rug hooking and Weaver's Cloth for punch needle embroidery - available on the website.  And we've even put together a starter package for punch needle work - a small frame, Ultra Punch needle set and a fat quarter of weaver's cloth.  You add the pattern and floss and you are ready to go!

The other fun news is that we've been accepted at two more large fiber events as vendors -  the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival in May and MAFA (Mid Atlantic Fiber Association) in June. We have sent lots of wool to our favorite mills to be made into roving and yarn. Along with our other scheduled fiber events we'll be plenty busy this winter getting prepared!  Wait - it's already February!  Eeek!  Gotta go - the wool is calling!  We hope to see YOU somewhere soon!

As always, if you have any questions about our products just ask!   We can talk about our goods and production processes till your eyes glaze over.
Until next time........  May all good things come to ewe!
