Intuitive eating shifts away from the preconceived notion that certain foods are “good” and “clean”, while others are “cheat foods” and “bad”.

Intuitive eating is the opposite of diet culture.

Diet culture normalizes a dysfunctional relationship with food and unhealthy body ideals. 

The diet state of mind is dangerous. It goes way beyond simple food rules. Its incessant thoughts about food and body weight that affect our sleep, the choices of clothes we wear, our confidence and our quality of life.


My focus is on long term healthy lifestyles & not a quick fix. Restrictive dieting is a slippery slope to feelings of deprivation, craving "trigger foods", & uncontrollable eating behaviors. Food binges are a result of restriction. Restrictive dieting simply does not work in the end.

Rather than focusing on diet plans, I facilitate lifestyle changes that address the body, mind and spirit.  


My name is Cassandra Golden and I am a Registered Dietitian, a Licensed Nutritionist and a Mindful and Intuitive Eating Practitioner. I have over 7 years of experience (and counting!) helping hundreds of clients improve their health and quality of life through intuitive eating.  My education includes an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and a graduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.

My food philosophy is simple. My health goals guide my daily habits. I personally follow a mostly plant-based eating pattern, yet I am a true Mindful & Instinctive Eating Practitioner at heart.

My nutrition counseling approach is rooted in the concept of eating thoughtfully. Eating thoughtfully means to focus on HOW and WHY we eat, rather than simply WHAT we are eating. Why does that matter?

Eating thoughtfully helps you distinguish between emotional & physical hunger. Eating thoughtfully helps increase awareness of food-related triggers. Your food choices are guided by personal preference, & how these foods make you FEEL!

Therefore, the eating pattern that makes one person feel good physically & mentally could be completely different from the next person... and that’s totally okay! As a Nutrition Therapist, my #1 goal is to help clients see past food being “good” or “bad”, and to make peace with food once and for all!

I am dedicated to helping people heal their relationship with food. Whether it’s pastrami, pears, pizza or parsnips -  all foods serve a purpose.
