Greetings Soaring Heights Families;

We are quickly approaching the end of the school year and there have been so many amazing celebrations. We had several Soaring Heights teams that competed at the World Robotics in Dallas, Texas. What an amazing accomplishment and we are so proud of how they have represented our school and our community. We also held our end of quarter honor roll ceremonies this week. We had 398 students celebrate honor roll accomplishments and 141 were 4.0 honor roll recipients. It was fantastic to see parents back in the building to celebrate their students’ academic achievements and accomplishments. We are extremely grateful to our PTO and all the hard work they put into a successful carnival last week.

On Saturday, May 14th, our drama students are performing Madagascar Jr! Shows are at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. See below for more information regarding purchasing tickets!

On Tuesday, May 17th we have a Shakespeare Performance at 4:00 pm. We also have the Orchestra concert at 6:00 pm and the Band Concert at 7:00 pm. The spring book fair is being held in the Library after school on Wednesday through Friday. The book fair will run from 3:30 - 5:00 pm on Wednesday and Friday and from 3:30-6:30 on Thursday. Our final Choir Concert will be on May 23rd at 6:00 pm.

On Thursday, May 19th we have the Soaring Heights PK-8 Innovation Night! You do not want to miss this amazing event. Our students have been working towards this all year. It is from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

On Friday, May 20th, we have the 1st grade through 4th grade field day taking place during the school day.

2022-23 Busing Request Form

Dear St. Vrain Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as St. Vrain Valley Schools prepares for the 2022-2023 school year. The Transportation Department is committed to continuously providing the best possible service for our students attending classes within the district. To this end, each year we require that students desiring transportation services complete an application for busing. The application window is currently available and remains open throughout the academic year. Parents and Guardians will be notified when an application has been processed and a seat has been reserved.

While we make every effort to accommodate as many eligible riders as possible, transportation services are provided on a space-available, and first-come, first-served basis.

Please click on the link below for Step-by-Step instructions for the Bus Rider Application which also includes a link to our Bus Rider Application.  Please contact us at 303-702-7530 if you have additional questions.

Road Construction on County Road 5: Road Closure

Beginning Wednesday, May 4, the Town of Erie will be shifting from phase one to phase two of the construction project. County Road 5 will be closed to all traffic in between the two school entrances of Soaring Heights PK-8. Accordingly, we anticipate the following changes to traffic flows during, and before and after school:

Soaring Heights PK-8

  • Both entrances to the school parking lots will remain open, however, the north entrance can only be accessed by Flora View Dr. and County Road 5. The south entrance can only be accessed northbound from Colliers Parkway or Erie Parkway on County Road 5

  • Cars exiting the Soaring Heights north parking lot will only be permitted to turn north and west. Cars exiting the south parking lot will only be permitted to turn south

  • If needed, the Erie Police Department will be on-site to assist with traffic flow and pedestrian safety for students who walk and/or bike to/from school during peak traffic hours.

Our PTO is bursting with activity.  Please read the PTO Newsletter and be connected!
Please bring your water bottles to school! We have a VERY limited supply of disposable drinking cups, so we request students bring bottles from home.

PLEASE!  No open drinks in class--Only water bottles
