PTO General Meeting
10/18, Soaring Heights Rm A211

Dear Soaring Heights Families,

First and foremost, we want to express a heartfelt thank you for the generosity of our Soaring Heights community. The Jog-a-Thon and Fun Run were a huge success with over $80,000 raised that will help our school with technology refreshes, classroom supplies, and the opportunity for teachers to apply for grants that are funded by the PTO. We are incredibly appreciative of the parents, families, and community that help make this possible.

Volleyball and Cross-Country have continued to have wonderful seasons. Please see the calendar on our website for upcoming events. We are so proud of the students and their individual and team accomplishments. Boys basketball will begin on Monday, October 3.

Attendance is an important part of a successful school year for each student. Thank you for your partnership to support students' consistent attendance each day. Please communicate with the school regarding absences.

Conferences will be held in person on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (October 10, 11, 12) for all grades PK-8. Please look for information and sign up that was emailed to parents on Friday. Conferences are an opportunity for you to connect with your child’s teacher and discuss the progress of your child.

The weather is quickly changing. Please help your student plan accordingly with layers and jackets as needed. For all personal belongings, please label with your student’s first and last names. If your student is missing items, remind them to check lost and found as items tend to be returned after a day or so.

As always, it is a joy and pleasure to be a part of the Soaring Heights’ community and your partnership and contributions are sincerely appreciated.

Best Wishes,

Cyrus Weinberger, Principal
Meghan Quirk, Assistant Principal
Krystal Trinkler, Dean
Rick Olsen, Dean

Thank you for your partnership and supporting the academic growth, safety, and well-being of our students. Every year, St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document guides students and school staff on what expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors that fall outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.

To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the Code of Conduct for the current school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.

UNIVERSAL FREE MEALS HAVE EXPIRED FOR THE 22/23 SCHOOL YEAR. Upon the start of the school year, students will be charged for lunch unless they qualify for free or reduced-price meals. We are encouraging families to apply for meal benefits for the 2022–2023 school year  to ensure negative balances do not accrue on students’ accounts.

Applying online is the fastest way to get your application processed to ensure no lapse in coverage happens. Applying online also reduces the chance for errors and the need to send applications back to families to correct.

If you do not believe you qualify for free or reduced-price meals, please make sure that there is money on your students’ accounts. You can add money to their account through MySchoolBucks
