Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences
Dear Soaring Heights Families,

From our entire staff here at Soaring Heights, we want to express our gratitude for allowing us to work with your children.  It is truly an honor to support both the academic and emotional needs of our students.  We are pleased to have our classrooms and halls filled with energy and excitement, with the glow of student and staff smiles emanating through our masks.  Students will be working on a Hope and Gratitude project that will be shared in a drive-through celebration on February 5 from 6:00 - 8:00 (see details below).  Research supports the more people focus on what they are grateful for, the happier and productive they are in general.

Parent / teacher conference sign-up through Meet the Teacher went out to parents today.  Please make sure to choose a time to talk with your child’s teacher(s).  This will be an opportunity to learn about your child’s progress and to create a plan for a strong finish to the second half of the school year.

Please take a moment to review the pick-up / drop-off reminders below along with the attached map. We appreciate your cooperation to ensure the safety of our students and community.  Thank you in advance for your patience in this matter as we work to improve our traffic flows.  Families are encouraged to walk or ride to school whenever possible. We are encouraging everyone to take extra care at the intersection of Colliers Parkway and County Road 5 as this is the main route for our walkers.

Your classroom teacher will be in communication about Valentine’s celebrations on February 11.

Again, we are grateful for your support. Please let us know if you need assistance or have questions.

Best wishes,
Cyrus Weinberger

Important Drive Line Reminders

We appreciate your help and support as we work to smooth out our pick-up and drop-off procedures.  We have had some near accidents on County Road 5 and as result have created some new procedures in consultation with local law enforcement and our SVVSD safety manager.  Please use the procedures below along with the attached map to review the safest route for entering the school.

  • Cars may enter the Soaring Heights campus through the designated turn lane only (do not use the main northbound through lane to turn into the school)

  • Access outside of the turn lane will be coned off

  • Kindergarten and preschool parents may merge into the second lane in the roundabout to access the kindergarten/preschool parking lot after entering campus

  • Be extra careful when making a left at the intersection of Colliers Pkwy and County Road 5 as this is a major crossing for our students

Thank you for following these procedures.  Please remember to place a sign with student name and teacher on your windshield.  Parents may also use the high school bus loop to park after 8:00 am and after 3:00 pm.

Please take a moment to review this visual to help understand how the Drive Line works when dropping off and picking up students at Soaring Heights.
