Dear Soaring Heights Families,
As we continue to move forward with momentum throughout this school year, the vision for excellence remains in the forefront of our daily implementations. Within the classroom setting we see high academic standards and instruction, purposeful school community and meaningful collaboration and reflection. Spring Break is quickly approaching and we want to highlight the importance of student engagement in their daily learning progression. We thank you for your continued support and partnership.
We have a few important dates approaching:
We want to highly encourage our community to take part in talking to children about race speaker series (see the flyer below) as we continue to strive to ensure all members of our community feel welcomed and valued.
Project Launch Registration is due by March 12th. Please see the flyer below for additional information. We strongly recommend parents to sign up for this summer educational opportunity, which will support any holes or gaps in academic learning.
The PTO is hosting a Talent Show in March. Talent Show Video Submissions are due Friday, February 26th.
We are pleased to announce we have a Corner Captain that is located at the light by County Rd 5. and Colliers Pkwy. The Corner Captain assists students with crossing the road before and after school. Please be mindful of students and adults walking, biking or riding during this time. Your extra caution will ensure the safety of all.
Recently, we sent an email communication to Colliers Hill families regarding opting to connect with other families to carpool to school. Please check your email for the sign up form.
As part of our Standard Response Protocols, the school performs monthly drills. We will be conducting a fire drill and lock down drill in the coming months. For more information about our Standard Response Protocols, please click the links below.
We hope you have a pleasant weekend. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Cyrus Weinberger, Principal
