Greetings Soaring Heights Families;

It's been an exciting week of celebrations, activities, and events at Soaring Heights this week!

Our wonderful PTO transformed our campus into a carnival and we have all appreciated the amazing support we have received from our PTO, families and community to celebrate our teachers and staff this week.

Our 5th graders enjoyed Field Day at Frederick High School on Friday, May 6. Middle school had fun at their field day as well.

The Soaring Heights Carnival will be tonight (Friday, May 6) from 5:30 - 8:00 pm. This will be a great family event and we encourage everyone to come out and have fun!

We have teams competing at World Robotics in Dallas, Texas this week and next week. We are so proud of their hard work and accomplishments.

We will celebrate our 3rd Quarter Middle School Honor Roll Honorees on Wednesday, May 11.  Please see the schedule below.

As we begin to prepare for next year and make class lists (in elementary school only), please take a moment to complete the Placement Survey below.  While we don't take specific teacher requests, your feedback will help us choose the best learning environment for your child.

Our incoming 6th grade students will have the opportunity to participate in our Step Up program on August 8.  Please see below for links and registration information.  Registration is due May 27.
We look forward to celebrating our students and their accomplishments as we complete the last few weeks of school. Please look for reminders and communication on the details for all these various events. This has been a prosperous year and we thank you for your teamwork and communication.

Best Wishes,

Cyrus Weinberger, Principal
Meghan Quirk, Assistant Principal
Krystal Trinkler, Dean

Middle School Honor Roll Wednesday May 11
We are excited to celebrate our 3rd Quarter Honor Roll Honorees on Wednesday, May 11.  The ceremony will be held in the middle school gym and parents and/or family members may come for each grade level ceremony.  Due to capacity limits, only three guests maximum per honoree will be allowed in the gym.  Parents will receive a notification if your student has qualified for honor roll.  We will not have a live stream of this honor roll event.

We will honor each grade level individually:

6th Grade Ceremony 8:45 - 9:15
7th Grade Ceremony 9:30 - 10:00
8th Grade Ceremony 10:15 - 10:45

Parents and/or family members attending will enter through the main entrance and exit directly from the gym.
Student Placement Survey

We do not take requests for specific teachers; however, your input does carry significant weight and will help to ensure we find a good match for your child. Placements are based on a variety of factors including: student need, balanced classes, and input from parents and teachers.

As we begin to place students in classes for next year, it would be helpful for you to describe the learning needs of your child. Is there anything you would like the school to know about how your child learns or any special circumstance we should be aware of? Please complete this Student Placement Survey.

Please submit your form no later than, Monday, May 9th.

5th to 6th Grade Step-Up

Students will have the opportunity to advance and celebrate the transition to middle school through building relationships and community, creating comforts and connections, and developing familiarity with the school and environment while providing exposure to academic routines in our 5th to 6th Grade Step-Up program.

2022-23 Busing Request Form

Dear St. Vrain Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as St. Vrain Valley Schools prepares for the 2022-2023 school year. The Transportation Department is committed to continuously providing the best possible service for our students attending classes within the district. To this end, each year we require that students desiring transportation services complete an application for busing. The application window is currently available and remains open throughout the academic year. Parents and Guardians will be notified when an application has been processed and a seat has been reserved.

While we make every effort to accommodate as many eligible riders as possible, transportation services are provided on a space-available, and first-come, first-served basis.

Please click on the link below for Step-by-Step instructions for the Bus Rider Application which also includes a link to our Bus Rider Application.  Please contact us at 303-702-7530 if you have additional questions.

Accordingly, we anticipate the following changes to traffic flows during, and before and after school:

Soaring Heights PK-8

  • Both entrances to the school parking lots will remain open, however, the north entrance can only be accessed by Flora View Dr. and County Road 5. The south entrance can only be accessed northbound from Colliers Parkway or Erie Parkway on County Road 5

  • Cars exiting the Soaring Heights north parking lot will only be permitted to turn north and west. Cars exiting the south parking lot will only be permitted to turn south

  • If needed, the Erie Police Department will be on-site to assist with traffic flow and pedestrian safety for students who walk and/or bike to/from school during peak traffic hours.
