Dear Soaring Heights Families,

Thank you for your continued support throughout this school year. We are proud of the growth in our recent iReady testing, as the data shows solid gains in student performance. A strong finish remains in the forefront of our classroom instruction. We encourage students to continue forward with momentum through the last day of the school year.

The Mobile Innovation Lab will be at Soaring Heights on Friday, May 14th from 9am - 11am. There will be many hands on STEM based activities for students to experience. Our partners from Anschutz Neuroscience Program will also be on site to facilitate other hands-on experiments. Soaring Heights Staff will be providing opportunities for students to experience VR and other technologies from the school. All activities will be outside and students can rotate between stations. We hope to see you at this event. Please make sure your student is accompanied by an adult.

The last week of school will be a week of celebrations. Kindergarten, 5th Grade, Middle School Honor Roll and 8th grade celebrations are listed below. These events will be streamed virtually for parents to view. Links to the virtual celebrations will be shared with parents next week.

As the weather continues to warm, we would like to provide parents with a student dress code reminder. All of our expectations for student dress come from the SVVSD School Board Policy for Student Dress Code which we follow. Click Here to view the District-Wide standards on student attire.

If you have questions please feel free to contact me. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Cyrus Weinberger, Principal

New Mask Guidance

With upcoming changes to the state and county COVID-19 Dial Framework, we wanted to provide an update on our comprehensive school health and safety measures for the remainder of the school year. Students will continue to be required to wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status, however, beginning next week, mask wearing will become optional when students are outside. Additionally, our school will continue our increased cleaning and sanitizing protocols, the use of our high-quality MERV-11air ventilation HVAC systems, increased hand washing and sanitizing, and we continue to ask parents to conduct daily symptom checks before sending students to school. Community-wide COVID-19 testing continues to be available at our Innovation Center site, and we will continue to follow Boulder County Public Health quarantining protocols whenever there is a confirmed or suspected case in our school. If you have any questions about our health and safety protocols, please contact our front office at 303-702-8020.

Safe with 7

It's important to screen every student every day before allowing them to attend school.

Curbside Meals on Fridays

Location: Soaring Heights

Soaring Heights will be offering curbside meals from 11:00am - 12:30pm

Important Drive Line Reminders

We appreciate your help and support as we work to smooth out our pick-up and drop-off procedures.  We have had some near accidents on County Road 5 and as result have created some new procedures in consultation with local law enforcement and our SVVSD safety manager.  Please use the procedures below along with the attached map to review the safest route for entering the school.

  • Cars may enter the Soaring Heights campus through the designated turn lane only (do not use the main northbound through lane to turn into the school)

  • Access outside of the turn lane will be coned off

  • Kindergarten and preschool parents may merge into the second lane in the roundabout to access the kindergarten/preschool parking lot after entering campus

  • Be extra careful when making a left at the intersection of Colliers Pkwy and County Road 5 as this is a major crossing for our students

Thank you for following these procedures.  Please remember to place a sign with student name and teacher on your windshield.  Parents may also use the high school bus loop to park after 8:00 am and after 3:00 pm.

Please take a moment to review this visual to help understand how the Drive Line works when dropping off and picking up students at Soaring Heights.
