March 10, 2019 - FINAL
“Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much” – Helen Keller

The Gala was a Shining Success!

Our annual Gala celebration for Valley Catholic School was Saturday, February 23 at Montgomery Park. More than 350 guests filled the space and enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. This year, we acknowledged our Distinguished Alumnus, Frank So '97, welcomed the Class of 1969 for their 50th year and met many new families. What a wonderful, social event when our community comes together for the greater good of Valley Catholic.

We were excited to see our efforts realize $320,000. If you were not able to attend, or even if you were, here is a link to the video of the evening's celebration, and to the Flickr album. Thank you, once again, to our co-chairs, Sara Hoppes and DeDee Heinsen. They were there every step of the way with ideas and energy, commitment and leadership.

Now is the time to finish our post-Gala tasks. We have letters to send and many people to thank. Whether you volunteered your time to work on Class Baskets or Projects, helped prepare Gala materials, loaded or unloaded the truck, set up, or cleaned up, please know that you are much appreciated. We could not have had such a successful Gala without all of you!

To all who attended, donated, sponsored tables, purchased items, raised their paddles to light the fire of learning at Valley Catholic School, thank you! For the support of the Sisters, principals, teachers and staff, we are truly grateful. This community is so very blessed by each and every one of you.
We Welcome your Feedback
Now, it's your chance to tell us what you think! The Gala Survey is up and waiting for your response. Everyone involved worked hard to make this a wonderful and successful evening; we are open to congratulations, kudos, and constructive criticism. Whether you attended, worked as a volunteer, or were unable to join us this year, your opinions matter. Please take the survey today

Light a Fire

Every student, every family and every classroom at Valley Catholic is impacted by tuition assistance. Many students, who each bring their own unique gifts to our school, would not be a part of our student body without assistance. One in four students directly benefits from our 'Light a Fire' paddle raise at the Gala. This special appeal generated more than $100,000 in donations on Gala evening. You can still make an impact and donate to Light a Fire with this link. Please consider making a gift to help students at Valley Catholic today.

Sign up for Fun!
A few sign-up parties from the Gala still have space available! Class Portraits Coming Soon

The framed and signed Class Portraits for K-5th grades and 8th grade will be on display in the VCEMS lobby in April. Please stop in and see your child's class picture. As in previous years, the mats of these formal pictures will be carefully signed by each and every student in the class. You may place your order by completing the order form and leaving a check in the school office, or by using this link to the Gala website.
