May 8, 2018 Primary Election

Voting has begun for the May 8, 2018 Primary Election. Democratic, Republican and Green party voters will choose the candidates who will advance to the November General Election. There are 213 candidates running for 71 offices and judicial seats. In total, there are 37 contested races on the ballot. There is also a county-wide issue, one state-wide issue, and various municipal, school and library issues on the ballot.
Three Ways to Vote
  • Vote early at the Board of Elections
  • Vote by mail
  • Vote on Election Day; polling hours are 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Choose Your Political Party
  • Voters have an opportunity to establish their party affiliation, change their party or become nonpartisan voters during this election.

There is Still Time to Vote by Mail

Let voting come to you! All voters are eligible to vote by mail. Ballot requests must be received by noon on May 5. Completed ballots must be postmarked on or before May 7, or they may be hand delivered to the Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m. election night.
