Welcome from the Director

Educating voters about upcoming elections and related news is a top priority for us at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. To better serve our voters and community partners, we are excited to debut our quarterly e-newsletter as resource for voter education.

Most people only think about voting when an election is just weeks or days away. Our agency is working year round to keep voting records updated, maintain equipment and voter registration records, as well as hundreds of other tasks that are part of our responsibilities to the public we serve. This newsletter will be a platform for sharing everything from job opportunities and technical improvements to importa
nt deadlines and changes in voting laws.

We invite you share the information in our newsletter with your family, friends and colleagues. Thank you for following along and for allowing us to serve you!

Pat McDonald
Director, Cuyahoga County Board of Elections

Electronic (e-) poll books are set to make their debut during the upcoming Primary Election. This new technology expedites the voter check-in process, improves election reporting, saves money (and trees for that matter!), alerts poll workers if the voter already voted or is at the wrong location, and provides many other benefits to both voters and boards of elections.

New citizens, new voters

Every month, hundreds of immigrants are sworn in as United States citizens in the City of Cleveland.
