In Memoriam: Sajio Sumida
With regret we announce that Society for Cryobiology Fellow Sajio Sumida recently passed away aged 84.
Prof. Sumida became a member of the Society for Cryobiology in 1966 and was elected a Fellow of the Society in 2010 for contributions to cryomedicine. His seminal work Transfusion of Blood Preserved by Freezing was published in 1973. A comprehensive review of Prof. Sumida's life and achievements will be available soon.
