Dear Cristian,

Leadership is an intangible trait. You can’t tell that someone is a leader just by looking at them.

Yet, the cream always rises to the top. And this past year has taught us the importance of leadership.

We’re proud that for over 35 years, we have been cultivating leaders in the Lowcountry with our prestigious Leadership Program. The application for 2021-2022 is now open.

Our Leadership Program is akin to a master’s degree in the Lowcountry. Participants get a deep dive into the area’s government, culture, and history, plus leadership skills, and so much more. The capstone projects each class completes represent a $186,882 investment in the community over the last six years. Past projects include the playground at Oscar Frazier and DuBois parks, the sunscreen stations in Hilton Head Island parks, the firepit in the Promenade, the exercise equipment at Jarvis Creek Park and so many more.

The Leadership Program application process is competitive and is based on recommendations and an interview process.

If you or a colleague is interested, we invite you to attend an informational coffee at 9 a.m. April 8 (click here to register) or 5 p.m. April 22 (click here to register).

Speaking of leaders, we have some of the region’s top minds on our Tele-Town Hall this Wednesday, including Beaufort County School Superintendent Dr. Frank Rodriguez, Hilton Head Island Airport Director Jon Rembold, and RBC Heritage Tournament Director Steve Wilmot. Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Bill Miles,
President & CEO

The shoot also utilized a number of local vendors - including Harden Creative and SERG Restaurant Group - and locations. Does that park look familiar?
