Henry VIII – King & Collector talk now available to view online

Dear Paul,

For those of you who were unable to make our talk last week, I have now made it available to watch online through YouTube. The link is below.

Thursday’s talk was a great success with over 60 people dialled in and watching. I’d like to thank Siobhan Clarke again for a fascinating talk.

I have also made Paula Kitching’s talk on the Battle of Britain available from December last year.

Please encourage your neighbours to join The Hampton Society

Request for stories for our Spring Newsletter

by Maura Waters, editor

“I’d never thought of that” could well be the reaction when we hear how others cope with this, our third Covid lockdown.

Have YOU made some useful discoveries you’d be willing to pass on to others? They could cover daily walks, general exercise, shopping, educating/supervising/entertaining our young ones or just coping with the inadequacies of masks.

On the other hand, if you find you’re saving money simply by not going out, how about thinking of a little house improvement (we’re all spending so much more time indoors)? It is permitted to employ a craftsman to work in your home, providing he or she is properly masked. Think about it.

In the meantime, for those of you who have already done one or more of the above – or even better, come up with some completely original ideas, tell me about it for our next Spring Newsletter, due out early March 2021. Contact me, Maura Waters, either by telephone on 020 8979 9654 or by email here.

All submissions by 28 February please so that we can meet our print deadline.

Thank you and I wish you all the best,  Maura.
