EdImpact Launches New Website to Help School Districts Invest ESSER Funding
With an unprecedented $2.9 billion of federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds coming to Massachusetts, school districts have some critical decisions to make. The EdImpact Research Consortium just launched a new website to help districts decide how to best invest these funds. The website features original District Guides as well as a Resource Toolbox that acts as a one-stop shop for vetted, evidence-based resources from a range of well-respected education research organizations.

The EdImpact Research Consortium—a partnership between the Rennie Center, the CERES Institute for Children & Youth at Boston University Wheelock College, Education Resource Strategies, and the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education—aims to support the field by providing timely analysis on how funds are being allocated, evidence-based recommendations for investing these funds, guidance on school-based implementation, and, eventually, evaluations of the impact of recovery efforts on student learning and outcomes.

Along with the new website, the EdImpact Research Consortium just released three guides focused on how school districts can maximize the impact of ESSER funds to accelerate learning, catalyze innovation, and support students' holistic development.
How Districts Can Use ESSER Funds to Support Student Mental Health

School Mental Health and Safety Leadership Institute Conference

will be speaking at this Massachusetts Partnerships for Youth (MPY) conference to highlight the School Mental Health Leadership Institute, a collaboration between the Massachusetts School Mental Health Consortium (MASMHC), the Rennie Center, and MPY. The conference is free to Massachusetts educators. Professional Development Points (PDPs) and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded to educators from MPY member school districts.
