Dear CMC Families and Friends,

All of us at CMC are wishing you and your families well during this challenging time.

We received the news that the San Francisco Unified School District has extended their closure through May 1. Since CMC is following closely with SFUSD’s actions, CMC's facilities will also remain closed through May 1st, but I am pleased to share that the music goes on with online learning

I have been so impressed by the resilience and the ingenuity of our faculty and staff, pushing the boundaries of creativity to quickly move our lessons to online platforms. Parents, faculty, and students have shared with me the enjoyment and the sense of purpose they are deriving from their online lessons, especially during a time when the health and safety of our communities depends on social distancing. Our team at CMC is also growing our virtual community on Facebook with free classes and musical experiences.

During these moments we are apart physically, we invite you to stay connected and feel inspired with CMC. Below is everything you need to know about CMC's transition to online music education; please join us!

My very best,

Julie Rulyak Steinberg
Executive Director
Music Goes Online

Registration for Spring Quarter is now open. CMC is providing online music lessons and classes during the closure of our branches. Take lessons on 30+ instruments with our talented faculty.

Social to Stay Connected

Everyday, CMC is uploading videos, stories, and content to help us keep connected during this time. We are amazed at the resilience of the Bay Area community and are actively engaged in sharing inspiring and relevant content.

CMC is LIVE on Thursdays

Starting April 2, tune in every Thursday for Facebook Live music sessions with CMC faculty. CMC Kids: LIVE is a family-music-making experience for 0-7 year-olds on Thursdays at 10am with Daniel Fabricant. On Thursdays at 4pm, our Facebook page will host CMC Sings: LIVE a weekly sing-along led by Maestro Curtis and Nola Curtis with fun songs and music tips.

Now More Than Ever

For CMC to emerge from this crisis, we need our community’s support. We aim to keep our lights on and to continue serving the community in our mission of music for everyone for another 100 years. We need your support now more than ever.
