London Convention Hosts
1,000+ B2B Meetings

EPTDA welcomed over 425 delegates and guests – including 100 new comers – from 200+ leading PT/MC companies across 35 countries at its 2018 Annual Convention in London this September. The London Annual Convention marked a new milestone for EPTDA with more than 1,000 formal business development meetings held during two days of the annual convention.

The London Annual Convention also welcomed over 60 Future Leaders (PT/MC industry’s young business talent) to focus on “Digital Leadership in Industrial Markets”. This bespoke seminar was hosted by Daniel Nill (Turbine Kreuzberg), Tom Gale (MDM) and Lennart Paul (warenausgang.com).
This year’s opening keynote speaker, Hamish Taylor, put a special twist on understanding “Trains, Planes and… Toilet Cleaners”. Hamish Taylor is an award winning CEO and now an inspirational speaker whose career has taken him from international consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble, consultancy firm Price Waterhouse and British Airways to become CEO of the channel tunnel railway Eurostar, and then Sainsbury’s Bank…all before he was 40!

The Executive Seminars brought together thought leaders like Marco Bertini on “Selling and Capturing Value in the Market” and Ian Heller on “The New Digital Imperative for Distributors”.

„As the world embraces digitalization and artificial intelligence as part of our day-to-day decisions, the EPTDA annual conventions dare to showcase the immense value of personal and human interactions needed to drive business forward. We believe in the power of meaningful connections and very year, we strive to put together a high-energy program for all our convention delegates that inspires learning, promoting best practice-sharing and new ways of adding value to end-customers. We have launched a great momentum in London and look forward to building a new face of industrial distribution in the future ahead”.
Hans Hanegreefs, EPTDA Executive Vice-President

EPTDA's Affiliate Association in the USA

The charitable arm of PTDA, The PTDA Foundation, has launched a new initiative focused on the toughest challenge facing the power transmission/motion control industry – recruiting and retaining employees. Known as the PT WORK Force, this industry-wide program provides employers with the essential tools they need to be more effective at attracting candidates for open positions and then, once hired, motivating and encouraging these new hires to be their best.

A Message From Richard House Children’s Hospice, UK

The 2018 Annual Convention chose the London-based charity organization, Richard House Children’s Hospice and its members jointly raised and donated €8,205. The House supports children and their families in East London to lead as happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting or life-threatening health condition.

Here’s a heartfelt message from The House for all EPTDA Members, who joined forces:

“Dear all EPTDA delegates and attendees of 2018 Convention,
Thank you for your generous donation to Richard House Children’s Hospice. Your support means we can continue to care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

We wanted to share with you the difference your donation will make.

All of our services are free of charge to the families that use Richard House. Over two thirds of our funding comes from the generosity of the public and our corporate supporters, so your donation has a direct impact on the lives of the families and children that we care for. Your contribution helps ensure we can maintain our current services, but also helps us to focus on the future with plans to expand our services and facilities to better support those that desperately need our help.

Our senior team and care staff at the hospice have been developing a strategy for the next three to five years with important projects planned for Richard House. We plan to introduce new outreach programs such as providing hospice care in the child’s home. We will also expand our step down care so that families can receive confidence building training to then care for children at home. Finally, we are looking to renovate the bereavement and family rooms at the hospice.

These developments are only possible with the support of donors such as you. Thank you once again for all your interest and support.”
