Upcoming Events and Training for Family and Children Service Providers
22-Nov-2018 ONE WEEK LEFT TO REGISTER!! Limited spaces left. Networks of Practice Self Care Forum
PriorityU - FREE to attend Location: Singleton
This interactive workshop focuses on empowering you to put your emotional, physical and mental wellbeing first - without feeling guilty about it.
From a young age we are taught not to be selfish. However what if a healthy degree of selfishness is exactly what we all need in our lives? More and more people are over-extending themselves, putting everyone else’s needs first and helping everyone but themselves.
By the end of this workshop you will have practical techniques to begin developing a ‘healthy selfishness’ not only for your benefit, but for the benefit of your family, co-workers and community as well.

NSW New Laws to protect Victims of Domestic Violence Fact Sheets
The NSW Government is introducing new laws to protect and support victims of domestic violence (DV) better. The changes will strengthen NSW’s Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO) regime and make it easier to recognise and punish offenders who strangle their intimate partners.
These changes complement the NSW Government’s investment of more than $390 million over four years in DV initiatives to provide greater protection for women, children and men in NSW.
