New Deal News
PUBLIC NEWSLETTER #3 - March 2020
The wait is over! Our third newsletter is here.
And we have many things to share with you!

Let’s have a look to the latest news of the NewDeal project
Featured story
A second film of the New Deal saga: From Bench to Bedside

Our fist video, “The Science Behind New Deal” was about the molecular basis of our innovative treatment, however, designing a new therapy is only the first part of a long process. In this second film, we wanted to show that the leap from the laboratory bench to the patients requires numerous experiments, as well as a close contact between the research labs and the clinic!
But we don't want to reveal anything else! Press play and enjoy our journey!
At New Deal we are striving to bring our new nanotherapy closer to the clinic. In this video we explain you all the steps that we follow on our way from the becnh to the bedside.
Our sections
Are you a researcher? A clinician? A patient? Or just someone interested in the world of IBD? No worries! There is a section for you on our newsletter!

Nanocarriers and JAK proteins, lead actors at New Deal Reads
In these three months, we have compiled some very interesting papers! And of many different topics! For example, we've seen the great potential of nanocarriers as a mechanism of drug delivery in other diseases apart from IBD. We’ve talked about other IBD treatments that share the same molecular target as New Deal: JAK proteins! Visit our blog and don’t miss the short summaries of these and other topics from recent papers published in the field!

Mental health: the invisible toll of IBD patients
One in five patients with IBD struggles with anxiety and other derived disorders in her/his daily life. Because chronic diseases can often affect patients beyond physical signs, we wanted to dedicate a bit of space in our blog to talk about mental health problems. Click here to discover more about these invisible symptoms in the last post of our “living with IBD” section.
No storm can stop us!
The last meeting in Brussels brought very good news for the project...Although some partners could hardly make it to the meeting due to bad weather! But the results were good, and new clear objectives were set to advance in the forthcoming months. If you want to stay informed about all the New Deal news stay tuned on our blog and follow us on social media!
Safety is first!
A scientific idea is key to start developing a new treatment, but something crucial for further progress is proving its safety. Besides designing many experiments to confirm the efficacy of a given therapy, other experiments are carried out to ensure that it's innocuous for humans. In this blog post, we interview an expert on this topic: Dr Daniel Pérez, one of our partners from Nanoimmunotech. Don't miss it!
New Deal Daily
This 2020, together with our usual twitter content we've decided to start a new section: #IBDfacts! We will share key insights and data that will help our followers to understand the dimension of IBDs. Follow us to discover all the features that hide these diseases. Stay tuned!
