April 2018 Update

Here is the latest update from the prpl Foundation, an open-source, community-driven consortium focusing on security and interoperability of embedded devices for the IoT and smart society of the future.

Last time, we welcomed new members: Arris, Askey, British Telecom, Fon, Fraunhofer,  Mediatek/Econet, Sercomm, SmartRG, and Technicolor. This month, the focus is on SmartRG, HUMAX and MIPS:

• SmartRG’s solutions simplify the complex internet ecosystem. SmartRG offers SmartOS which runs on top of OpenWrt and makes OpenWrt platforms suitable for service providers. 
• HUMAX is a leading provider of customer premises equipment including video software and hardware solutions and residential/commercial gateways, with delivery to over 80 countries across the globe. 
• MIPS is a leading provider of intellectual property (IP) processor architectures and cores which are broadly used in products such as consumer entertainment, home networking and infrastructure equipment, LTE modems and embedded applications.
