About High Hill Summer Camp
We are very thankful that you are considering sending your child to church camp at High Hill this summer. We cannot stress how important we feel camp is to kids. There are so many aspects of fundamental growth that you get at church camp that you can’t get anywhere else. It is in this vein that we ask you to please read over all the important information found in this email to ensure that all of our campers have the intended experience while at camp. Your child will attend the camp that coordinates with the grade they WILL BE ENTERING THIS FALL. The easiest, fastest, and most accurate way to register for camp is through our secure online registration at www.highhillcamp.org. Be sure to ask your church about discount or scholarship codes.

Early Registration & Refund Policy

NEW THIS YEAR: EXPRESS CHECK-IN
We are excited to bring you a faster check-in on Registration Day!  This year when you arrive to check-in for camp, you will be given a check-in sheet that will contain all your camper's information - including the amount you've prepaid and the current balance due.  For campers who have PAID IN FULL at least 24 hours prior to check in, there will be an express check-in line!  This means less wait time for you and your camper, and a much easier check-in process.

In order to be eligible for our express check-in, ALL OF THE FOLLOWING must apply at least 24 hours prior to check:
  • Camper Registration Fees Paid in Full
  • No Changes or Additions to Canteen or Missions
  • Have a Free T-shirt OR Paid for Shirt in Advance

We understand that sometimes it's difficult to pay for camp all at once, so this year we will be sending monthly emails beginning in March letting you know the balance due for your camper(s) and include a link to be able to make another partial payment or to pay your remaining balance.  You can make as many payments as needed.  Please make sure to add our email address to your "safe" list so that our emails don't wind up in your junk folder.

Suggested amount for canteen is $2/canteen/day. We also have a variety of High Hill themed merchandise available to buy at registration or anytime during the week at canteen. Items range from $3-$10. Campers also have the opportunity to give a portion of their canteen account to our mission - any unused money will go to the mission at the end of the week. You can add canteen & missions money online during pre-registration or at camp when you arrive.

Health & Safety
High Hill Christian Camp’s staff are first aid and CPR trained. Additionally, we have a certified nurse or qualified EMS personnel on our premises at all times. They are here to provide first aid and to administer medications. All medications must be given to our our first aid staff upon registration (with the exception of Kick Start camps). Meds must be in the original containers with the proper dosage clearly marked. In case of sickness or injury, parents will be notified by phone call. HHCC’s insurance covers the first $500 of any camper injury and then is considered secondary coverage after personal insurance has been filed. Please note: If your child has had a fever in the 24 hours leading up to camp or has experienced vomiting or diarrhea, please, for the wellness of other campers, keep them home. Call us and we will do our best to get them into another session of camp.
Dietary Restrictions
If your child has food allergies or other dietary restrictions, please indicate those on the registration form. Although we would truly like to accommodate all dining needs, with the amount of campers we feed, it’s not possible to fully exclude common items such as gluten or dairy from our menu. We try our best to keep high allergy items like peanuts out of our kitchen; unfortunately, there are some instances where manufacturers don't list all food ingredients on our packaging.  With this in mind, you are more than welcome to send alternative food with your camper if you wish. Guests with food allergies will have access to a refrigerator/freezer and microwave in the kitchen area. All food should be stored in a bag/container and labeled with your child's name and program (e.g. Katie Kamper, Camp 45-1). If you would like to speak with us about any concerns you have, please email us at camp@highillcamp.org
Dress Code
Our dress code is fairly simple and straightforward—modesty prevails in all matters. Girls must wear one piece swimsuits OR wear a dark tshirt over two pieces (tankinis that cover the entire stomach are considered one piece). All sleeveless shirts must be at least three fingers wide at the shoulders (no spaghetti straps). No slouching shorts. Guys must wear a tank top under any sleeveless t-shirt with expanded arm holes. Shorts must be modest/finger length. If you have specific questions about an item of clothing, feel free to contact us.  Sports wear is the most common type of dress for camp. Please remember, the standards of the world are not the standards of High Hill Christian Camp in matters of dress.

Wilderness Camps
WILDERNESS CAMPS (grades 4-13)
Wilderness camp is for campers looking for a more authentic camping experience! Our wilderness camp is located in the woods adjacent to our main camp and features rustic bunkhouses and a shelter house for meals. Campers will have personal time with God, lessons, worship, and spiritual application in unique ways. They will also cook some of their own food, work as a team in cleaning up, participate in activities like hiking, swimming, fishing, paddle boating, blobbing, shooting, archery, and more! Wilderness campers will have the time of their life in the woods while growing closer to God.  (Please be aware - our wilderness camp is VERY RUSTIC.  There is no air conditioning in the open-air cabins and almost all of the campers' time is spent outdoors.  Your child will need to be prepared for a campsite that has no electricity or running water.  They will, however, have time to play in the lake and swim in the pool each day.)

Jr High Wild | Grades 7-8 | July 8-11 | Joe Friend (Dean)

Campers will be responsible for drop off/pick up at H&M. This program is designed for adventurous campers who want to experience sleeping in tents, cooking their own food, fishing, canoeing, exploring, learning from God's Word, worshiping together, and applying what they learn in creative and unique ways. (Please be aware - H&M Retreat is VERY PRIMITIVE.  All of the campers' time is spent outdoors. Your child will need to be prepared for a campsite that has no electricity and limited running water. They will, however, have time to play in the lake each day.) Dave Atzenweiler will dean both of these sessions.
