Congregational Meetings – January 30
|
|
|
Please plan to attend these important meetings as we’ll be celebrating our ministry in 2021 and talking about plans for First Pres’ future.
The Session has called the congregation to meet on January 30 via Zoom link here at 11:45am for a special meeting of the Congregation and Corporation of First Presbyterian Church for the purpose of approving changes in the Bylaws of First Presbyterian Church which will allow for virtual meetings and electronic notice of meetings.
Click here for the text of those changes.
The Session has called the congregation to meet via Zoom link here on Sunday, January 30, at 11:50am for the Annual Meeting of the Congregation and Corporation of First Presbyterian Church for the purpose of 1) receiving annual reports of Session, Board of Deacons, and other recognized groups of the church, 2) receiving the financial report of the year ending December 31, 2021, for information, 3) receiving 2022 budget for information, and 4) voting on changes in terms of call of co-pastors.
Glenn and Miriam Lawrence Leupold, Moderators of Session
Mary Rogers, Clerk of Session
Session has decided, in order to maximize participation during this pandemic, our meetings will be held virtually via Zoom (instead of in-person). So we’ll meet via Zoom at 11:45am to vote on changes to our Bylaws. When that meeting finishes, we’ll adjourn that meeting and call to order the Annual Meeting. Worship on January 30 will be livestreamed on Facebook at 10:30.

The Property Committee would like to correct an error in its 2021 Annual Report. Committee member John Myers' name was inadvertently omitted from the list of committee members. We apologize to John.

Would you like to help run the audio-visual systems during the church service? You would control the soundboard, which broadcasts the audio throughout the sanctuary and the Internet broadcasting software that delivers the Facebook livestream. And, of course, you'd receive full training.
Our team shares these duties so that your commitment would be between 8 - 12 Sundays per year.
If interested, please contact Dwight Cheu at dwightcheu@gmail.com. We also welcome high school students too -- this would be a great introduction to audio and video broadcasting.
The Youth are updating their space on the 2nd floor! We are looking for donations of gently used items to update & refresh the space. Please contact Molly or 518-810-3158 if you have any of the following to donate:
Area rugs,
Plants and/or hanging contraptions for plants,
Individual seating (bean bags, gaming chairs, comfortable arm chairs),
Cushions for floor sitting.

Sunday evening gatherings will resume for all youth in 6th-12th grades. Please enter through the office door off the parking lot, and make sure to sign in for contact tracing. In order to attend, you must have proof of vaccination and be symptom free. Please complete the
Proof of vaccination form
We will provide KN95 masks if you need one. Eating is suspended for the time being so we can keep masks on the entire time. We have updated air filtration units in rooms throughout the building.
