Bread for the World Offering of Letters

Our annual Bread for the World Offering of Letters will be held On Sunday. May 21, 2023. You will have the opportunity to write to your members of Congress who have the power to impact the policies and programs that can end hunger..

By asking our legislators to support the Farm Bill (reauthorized every 5 years) we will help support domestic nutrition programs like SNAP (food stamps), as well as funding for critical international food assistance programs.

We will have a representative from Bread for the World at our Adult Education class who will provide more detailed information about the Farm Bill. There will be time immediately after Adult Ed and during Fellowship time after the service to write your letters. Supplies will be provided.

Got a Favorite Recipe?

We are looking forward to having our potluck picnic with Walls Temple AME Zion Church that is now scheduled for June 10th. We apologize for the delay but hope that many of you will join us at that time. We will meet at 1:00 PM at the Walls Temple Church and picnic outside on their lawn.

Come make new friends! Bring a dish to share. There will also be some hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. We are planning some outdoor games with plenty of laughter. Children are welcome and we will have some children’s games. We will move inside if there is rain.

We are still planning to put a combined cookbook together but there is no pressure to get this done before the picnic. Please consider handing in a recipe to be included.
